About Our Project

By Andy Erickson

This blog was made for a class labeled MC1313 at Texas State University. We were directed to choose an interesting topic and produce a website that tells the story of the topic we chose.

Our project is about a coffee shop located in San Marcos called Mochas and Javas. We interviewed employees and customers at Mochas and Javas. We also gathered pictures and useful information about the shop.

We chose to write about Mochas and Javas because of its location near campus. The shop location made it convenient for us to perform interviews and find out how customers and employees feel about the shop. Another reason we chose Mochas and Javas is because students frequently go there to study or order beverages and food.

We asked customers their opinions of Mochas and Javas menu and found out what they like to order. We will discuss what the shop has to offer and how a customer could expect the atmosphere to be like at a Mochas and Javas location.

We took the angle of Texas State students for this project because we are students at Texas State and several of our colleagues and community members spend time at Mochas and Javas. Our project includes a brief history of Mochas and Javas and its plans for the future.

The goal of this blog is to tell the story of Mochas and Javas. We hope that people can learn about this local coffee shop in San Marcos, TX, through our blog.

During this project we focused on gaining skills in interviewing, writing, teamwork and researching. We also learned how to create a blog and solve problems as a group.
